RN - Nurse Educator

Rn - Clinical Staff Educator-Surgery

This position reports to the Clinical Education Department Manager. The Clinical Staff Educator provides education and instruction for clinical staff, acting as a resource and introducing technical and theoretical concepts. The role supports education development with department managers and nurse coordinators, utilizing simulation training. It works closely with the Quality Management team to promote continuous improvement and assists with Quality Department activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of duties, changing tasks efficiently.
• Accept responsibility for activity direction and planning.
• Evaluate programs and adjust based on participant learning.
• Communicate effectively and convey empathy.
• Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current Oregon RN license and HCP CPR, CNOR, ACLS, PALS certified.
• Minimum of 5 years hospital Nursing experience and 3 years of OR Experience required.
• Proficiency in word processing, internet use, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and telephone etiquette skills.
