Maintenance Technician Lead 

Position Summary 
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for leading maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities during assigned shifts.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to maintenance technicians.
• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, food safety, and company standards.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing or food production required.
• Leadership or lead technician experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
• Provides technical leadership and shift coordination for maintenance personnel.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying temperature conditions.
• Exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, refrigeration systems, humidity, and manufacturing environments.
