Maintenance Manager – Litchfield Park, AZ Reports to: Marty Dollar Employment Type: Full Time Exempt Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 pm‑6:00 am Overview The Maintenance Manager will lead a team to maintain continuous equipment availability and uphold a safe, clean, and efficient maintenance environment across the Distribution Center’s upholstery and manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring effective communication, inclusiveness, and collaboration. Oversee the preventative maintenance (PM) program for all material handling and facility equipment to achieve 99.9% uptime on production machinery. Plan, design, budget, and execute projects that support the furniture upholstery business and distribution operations. Develop, program, and maintain control systems for production equipment. Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, securing competitive pricing and minimizing outside service usage. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment through education, safety awareness, and corrective action. Support Williams‑Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values through leadership and example. Manage staff productivity, accuracy, and efficiency while meeting and surpassing performance metrics. Drive continuous improvement and customer service initiatives. Document all maintenance activities—including malfunctions, timesheets, supplies expenditures, inventory accuracy, and project outcomes. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and employment laws and regulations. Cooperate harmoniously with peers and subordinates. Perform any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in an industrial maintenance or distribution environment. Hands‑on electrical and mechanical knowledge. Proven ability to design, develop, and program control systems. Computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Understanding of power distribution requirements. Ability to read blueprints and diagrams. Strong team leadership and effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s Degree in a related field. Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controls. Physical Requirements Work at heights and in unusual positions. Operate hand tools safely. Lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Operate forklifts, pallet‑jacks, and handcarts. Tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and moving equipment in uncomfortable positions. Maintain eye‑hand coordination, foot and wrist dexterity for repetitive tasks. Work in small spaces, hot/cold temperatures, and vibrational environments; stand for extended periods. Will occasionally perform repetitive motions; noise levels are moderate. Walk or stand 100% of the day.
