Enjoy a rewarding role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a contract position serving a nearby school setting. This part-time opportunity offers 20-25 hours per week, allowing you to make a significant impact on approximately 24 students weekly. Utilize your expertise to foster growth and independence among young learners while working in a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and goal setting
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine individual OT needs and develop effective intervention plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services within small group or individual settings
- Contribute to IEP development and participate in student progress meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation of student progress
- Provide consultative support and training for staff and families when needed
