Buyer/Sourcing Analyst

Title: Buyer/Sourcing Analyst Location: Houston, TX Pay: $30.00-$37.00 hourly Schedule: On-site, Standard Office Hours Duration: 12-Month Contract Our client is seeking a Buyer/Sourcing Analyst to join their Supply Chain Management Department. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing quality materials, services, and equipment to specification while supporting the Sourcing Team with analytical and research functions across market analysis, supplier evaluation, and specification development. Job Responsibilities Purchasing materials, services, and equipment at the lowest cost without compromising quality or specifications Ensuring timely delivery of materials in alignment with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational schedules Issuing purchase orders and releases against Service Agreements; following up to ensure prompt delivery Conducting spend category analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, and benchmarking/cost modeling Identifying sourcing opportunities through analysis of business and industry data Supporting Sourcing Specialists on strategic sourcing projects and supplier relationship management Executing a standard sourcing methodology to achieve total value solutions Essential Job Duties and Job Functions Examining requisitions for proper completion and approval Coordinating document flows to ensure proper handling by Accounts Payable and Receiving Expediting and tracking orders to assure required delivery Processing invoices and forwarding to Accounts Payable Keeping abreast of market conditions, prices, and industry and supplier trends Analyzing suppliers along cost, quality, and other performance metrics Conducting cost/pricing analysis through benchmarking and cost modeling Knowledge and Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective negotiation skills Highly motivated self‑starter with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Proactive approach to solutions; persistent and results‑oriented Demonstrated leadership potential Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, service providers, and internal customers Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Oracle Financial and purchase order management software preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or Supply Chain/Sourcing preferred 2+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement preferred; energy industry or related industries (process, chemicals, etc.) a plus Demonstrated client service experience, with the ability to meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers Demonstrated experience in supplier or contractor management #J-18808-Ljbffr Hydrogen UK Ltd
