Tech Dietitian

Job Summary:

Provides technical and administrative support to Clinical Nutritionist staff by preparing, delivering, and monitoring nutritional feeds, including mixed formula and breast milk, for pediatric patients. Ensures compliance with safety and infection control policies while maintaining accurate inventory and patient records.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and deliver infant feeds, including mixed formula and breast milk, following established procedures and patient feeding orders.
  
  
• 
  Review patient medical records and update electronic infant feeding management system accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate inventory levels of formulas, breast milk, and enteral feeding supplies, monitoring expiration dates and replenishing stock as needed.
  
  
• 
  Ensure cleanliness and organization of work area, adhering to infection control and HACCP standards.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and caregivers regarding feeding procedures, order changes, and inventory needs.
  
  
• 
  Perform routine functions such as preparing emergency feeds, completing data logs, and participating in community health projects.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred or current student in nutrition or a related field.
  
  
• 
  Food Safety Certification within 6 months of hire.
  
  
• 
  Minimum two years hospital nutrition-related work experience or enrollment in an approved educational program.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in using electronic management systems (e.g., CBORD, Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  
• 
  Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work in a clinical environment with potential exposure to hazards and extreme temperatures.
