Scientific Director, Clinical Pathology

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a veterinary Clinical Pathologist to provide expert scientific interpretation of clinical pathology data from nonclinical development studies. The role includes serving as a scientific advisor to the New Brunswick laboratory, reviewing study protocols, preparing regulatory reports, and collaborating across drug development functions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and integrate clinical pathology data from nonclinical development studies
• Review non-GLP and GLP protocols to advise on clinical pathology endpoints and analyses
• Prepare scientifically rigorous clinical pathology reports for nonclinical safety assessment
• Serve as independent scientific reviewer for outsourced toxicology studies
• Provide expert consultation on complex findings and participate in multifunctional investigative teams

Requirements

• DVM with MS, PhD, or equivalent; ACVP board certification or board eligible in Clinical Pathology
• Minimum 8 years biopharmaceutical industry or CRO experience interpreting nonclinical clinical pathology data
• Demonstrated experience contributing to product registration and regulatory submissions
• Solid understanding of GLP regulations and laboratory operations
• Strong comparative clinical pathology expertise across diverse nonclinical species
• Comprehensive knowledge of drug discovery and development processes
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills for regulatory reporting

Compensation: $238,970 - $289,574
