Senior Production Manager

- $120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus
- Days | Monday - Friday

We're recruiting for a hands-on Senior Production Manager to join a leading food manufacturer in Newark, NJ. Reporting directly to the COO, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving production performance across multiple manufacturing facilities. You'll spend your time on the plant floor leading teams, improving processes and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations across multiple production facilities and a frozen distribution warehouse
- Drive production performance, throughput and operational efficiency
- Lead and develop large multi-shift production teams
- Ensure efficient conversion of raw materials into finished products
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and plant uptime
- Ensure compliance with USDA, SQF and food safety standards
- Lead SQF and third-party audit preparation
- Train, coach and develop production teams
- Support operational growth and future site expansion
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing or food processing environment
- Experience managing large production teams in high-volume manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, SQF and food safety standards
- Experience improving production performance and operational efficiency
- ERP system experience (SAP, NetSuite or SAP Business One preferred)
- Hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
