Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 22 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for a clinical pass. - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Accessing ports - Arterial line management - Blood product administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - IV start - Assist with chest tube insertion/removal - High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - Interpretation of ABGs - IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Oncology, Respiratory, Tracheostomy care/management, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Medications, Endocrine/Metabolic

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Oncology experience preferred but not required. - Accessing/Managing Ports, Administration of chemotherapy, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry Oncology, PCA, Titration of Insulin drips - Teaching hospital experience

Special Requests: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. - References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities. - The majority of patients served on 19 James are admitted with the following patient care needs: continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration; soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy and symptom management; symptom management secondary to disease-related treatment or progression; management of comorbidities; heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. - Special equipment: GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds.

Shift & Scheduling: - D/N or N - If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. - Weekend shifts are variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity, to other MedSurg Oncology units.

Required Credentials: - Government issued photo ID.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
