The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is partnering with an established and growing dairy manufacturing operation in Wayne County, Ohio to identify a Dairy Processing Specialist to join a small, highly collaborative team. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift offering up to $45/hr, designed for individuals who bring true dairy processing experience, with milk processing experience considered highly advantageous.

This is a process-focused, technical role centered around dairy processing, with a strong emphasis on milk processing knowledge and understanding of processing flow. General manufacturing experience alone will not align. This role requires someone who understands how dairy processing works through hands-on experience or technical involvement in food safety, quality, or regulatory functions within a dairy environment.

Required Experience:

• Candidates must have direct experience within a dairy processing environment.

Highly Preferred Experience:

• Direct experience with milk processing
• Experience working with pasteurization systems such as HTST or UHT
• Hands-on involvement with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems
• Experience in fluid milk processing or similar dairy production environments

Additional Backgrounds That Can Align:

• Dairy processing operators or technicians
• Cheese makers or creamery operators
• Dairy production technicians
• Quality assurance or food safety professionals within dairy plants
• HACCP or FSQR professionals with direct exposure to dairy processing systems
• Regulatory or inspection professionals with strong familiarity with dairy plant operations

Not a Fit If Your Background Is Primarily In:

• General manufacturing without dairy or food processing
• Packaging-only roles without exposure to processing
• Warehouse, logistics, or distribution
• Lab-only food science without plant or production involvement

What You Will Do:

• Support and understand dairy processing flow from intake through finished product
• Provide insight into pasteurization, temperature control, and product integrity
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
• Serve as a technical resource within a small, hands-on team
• Assist in troubleshooting and supporting daily processing operations
