Associate Director, Crisis Services

Location 1323 E 71ST ST, Tulsa, OK, 74136-5045, United States Base Pay $83,000.00 - $90,000.00 / Year Job Category Clinical Employee Type Full Time Required Degree Masters Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in a human service related field with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience. Must have demonstrated supervisory, administrative, problem‑solving and consultation skills, including a minimum of five (5) years of work experience with children in mental health or related social service field. Requires willingness and ability to work irregular hours as needed to ensure quality standards are met in service delivery. Must hold a current behavioral health board‑approved license (LPC, LCSW, LBP, LMFT, LADC). General Expectations Responsible for programming at YES Tulsa and the CALM Center, engaging in assessment and treatment of youth and families in crisis. Employ the Sanctuary Model principles, monitor performance of specialty services and case management to ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies. Implement and periodically review clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks, and compliance measures; coordinate provider workflow planning and scheduling. Serve as coach, mentor, and supervisor to staff providers, providing guidance on best practices and addressing therapy service or operational issues with urgency. Identify and collaborate on action plans to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance measures are met. Have extensive working knowledge of the behavioral health field, trauma‑informed care, and crisis management. Work well under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining balance between physical and mental health and job requirements. Possess specialized training and/or certification in mental health services or a related field as required to assist with assessment and treatment for youth. Be organized, goal‑oriented, and capable of working autonomously. Know DHS, OJA, OHCA, CARF, and ODMHSAS standards related to Child / Adolescent Behavioral Health Services and needs. Understand inpatient and residential services for children and adolescents. Understand clinical assessments, treatment triage, and coordination policy and procedures. Know different types of child / adolescent treatment modalities and services. Demonstrate strong supervision skills and strategies for addressing a wide range of employee issues. Position Responsibilities Collaborate with the Director to facilitate the daily operation, development, maintenance, and supervision of CRS’s CALM Center and YES Tulsa. Co‑lead and conduct regular team meetings and huddles with all outpatient children’s staff, documenting agenda and meeting minutes. Be available on‑call (often at irregular hours) for supervised staff. Meet established responsivity guidelines related to assessment, treatment, and referral. Provide backup for Calm Center and YES supervisor coverage in the absence of the Unit Directors and Clinical Director. Co‑facilitate or conduct regular individual and group clinical supervisions, documenting meetings on supervision forms. Coordinate with the Director on learning plans and disciplinary actions for supervisees needing assistance and who are deficient in fiscal responsibilities or fidelity treatment models. Assist the Director in ensuring all CALM and YES‑Tulsa staff are appropriately trained in CRS and departmental policies and procedures, with training up to date. Collaborate with the Director in preparing and submitting time‑sensitive and end‑of‑year reports required by CRS, CARF, DHS, and ODMHSAS. Help fill all vacant positions with qualified staff in a timely manner, ensuring coverage of clinical needs during interim periods. Assist in completing performance evaluations within 15 days of their due date. Ensure supervised staff receive appropriate training on CRS policies and procedures, with training (Relias, CPR/first aid, TheraOps, Sanctuary, etc.) up to date. Prepare and submit accurate and timely CALM/YES‑Tulsa monthly and quarterly reports, monitoring progress with agency six‑month performance indicators. Provide training, consultation, and education to outside groups and organizations, explaining the program’s purpose and functions; attend community professional and social organization meetings as needed. Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing children’s evidence‑based programs. Review, approve, and sign flex forms ensuring compliance with CRS policy and procedures. Report all FMLA time taken by staff to the CRS agency controller by the 10th of each month via email. Follow up with clients and/or parent/guardians regarding program or staff concerns, complaints, or suggestions. Operate in compliance with ethical and legal standards of mental health practice and federal and state rules and regulations. Participate in all CRS management meetings, including town halls. Participate in CRS Sanctuary events and activities, promoting, practicing, and educating staff on the Sanctuary Model’s seven commitments and SELF. Serve as an agency liaison to other agencies such as Child Welfare, DHS, OJA, and ODMHSAS. Develop and maintain a referral base for clients needing higher levels of care or other community resources. Maintain regular and predictable attendance with a posted work schedule and an open‑door policy regarding staff concerns. Participate in professional development workshops or training to maintain continuing education hours for licensing or certification requirements and to stay current on the latest research and information in the field. Ensure and monitor that youth and families have access to needed care/services through the CALM and YES‑Tulsa continuum. Assist the Director in organizing, ordering, and maintaining clinical support items for YES‑Tulsa and CALM. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director. Physical Requirements Must be able to move from location to location easily, bend, stoop, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees; process complex information within established procedures; enter data into various programs; climb stairs; access non‑handicapped equipped residences/facilities; may be exposed to diseases, illnesses, or infections; use basic office equipment such as telephone, calculator, computer, etc. Safety‑Sensitive The position is designated as safety‑sensitive. Employees may be disciplined if they test positive for marijuana or its metabolites. Possession or use of medical marijuana while at work, or during hours of employment, is strictly prohibited regardless of a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license. Reporting To Crisis Services Director Employment Status & Hours Exempt. Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Evening and/or weekend work will be required as needed.
