Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during overnight shifts
• Manage and monitor patients on Heparin and Insulin drips
• Perform IV insertions and maintain PICC lines
• Provide tracheostomy care and management
• Conduct and document NIHSS assessments as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 18 months of Med/Surg nursing experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care
• Proficiency with Heparin drips, Insulin drips, IV insertion, and PICC lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity Medical Surgical setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
