Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Smyrna, Tennessee.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 14, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.Details\n \n Work in a 16-bed ICU within a Trauma III hospital setting\n Patient ratio of 2:1\n Unit is supported by a dedicated tech\n Uses GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Drager ventilators\n Documentation completed in Meditech\n Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n Required to work every other weekend\n Floating required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (TN or Compact) required\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required\n Experience with ventilator and sedation management required\n Experience with medication titration required\n Skilled in procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion\n US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration\n One professional reference required\n No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator and sedation management\n Assist with trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions as needed\n Follow patient experience protocols including AIDET, communication board completion, and medication teaching\n Required to wear charcoal gray scrubs\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-745256.
