Job Title: General Labor Job Description

The role involves handling and processing metal automotive parts, including unloading parts into machines and performing quality checks to ensure correct labeling and bin placement. This position requires physical strength to lift parts weighing between 20 to 45 pounds every few minutes. The work is straightforward, with robots assisting in unloading and stacking parts.

• Lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Unload metal automotive parts into machines and ensure proper clamping.
• Perform quality checks on products and label them correctly before placing them in bins.
• Load parts into machines with assistance from robots.

• Experience in physical work, lifting 25-40 pounds frequently.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation.
• Skills in quality checking and assembly.

• Experience in construction, farming, or landscaping is beneficial.
• Candidates from plastics or lighter material sectors may find the job challenging.

This role is based in a busy, loud manufacturing setting where metal machining occurs. The facility is well-lit, and employees are required to lift parts from waist height to knee height and vice versa. Shifts are available across different times, including days, afternoons, and midnights, with frequent Saturday work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Huron, MI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
