Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.Project Overview:The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of our four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for our Energy Global Business Unit, but we may also require the selected candidate to have future mobility to one of our other Global Business Units in a different location. The ideal candidate will have market sector/ sub sector construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology (semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical, data centers, fire power generation), infrastructure (aviation, rail, roads/bridges), mining and minerals (water treatment plant, mineral extraction, metal refining), & nuclear, security, and environmental (nuclear power epc, power distribution, combined cycle, defense and space, environmental cleanup). As needs arise in our growing business, there will be expectation for the candidate to be fully mobile.Job Summary:In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1Major Responsibilities:Work Planning & PackagingPrepares construction drawings and sketches.Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures. Material Management Initiates requisitions for field purchases Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.QuantitiesVerifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required. Safety / Quality ControlEnsures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.Technical Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activitiesSystem Turnover Coordinator For Direct Hire: Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.STR / Subcontract CoordinatorReviews and approves inspection test plans, Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals, Education and Experience Requirements:Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Experience in a field construction environment working with specifications, vendor procedures, instructions, & codes.Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead team members effectively & positively in a collaborative team environment.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in high pressure situations.Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction.Good knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other common applications used on the construction industry.Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.Experience managing technical services subcontracts.Experience on an LNG construction siteUnderstanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures.Advanced knowledge of Project Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools which are used on Bechtel projects.Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
