Job Description - Groundman I Full-time position (30-45 hours per week)

In search of full-time Groundsman. At Limber Tree Services, you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team, performing challenging but satisfying work. The Groundman provides support to climbers, as well as operators of the bucket truck, crane or lift. He performs heavy physical duties on a variety of tasks which are generally semi-skilled in nature. Groundman duties vary depending on the type of work assigned to the crew. (Two positions open.)

Qualifications: Who You Are

• Enthusiastic team player

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy

• Valid driver license and reliable transportation. CDL a plus!

• Willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions

• Able to perform highly repetitive and physical functions

• Able to lift 50 pounds

• Competent with or willing to learn equipment operation and maintenance

• Available Monday through Friday and some weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: What You’ll Do

• Follow safety guidelines and wear all PPE required

• Haul brush and wood

• Assist the tree climber, using ropes, various hand and power tools

• Work with takedown crews to ensure good communication among the team

• Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment as needed on jobsite

• Clean the jobsite at end of day or upon job completion, leaving it “better than we found it”

• Function as a member of a tree crew while progressively learning new skills

• Maintain company-issued personal gear, crew gear, and equipment

• Maintain company vehicles

Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Starting hourly rate $18/hour - will train.
