Material Handler

Position Description Under direction loads, unloads, transports and organizes materials. Job Responsibilities Loads and unloads trucks Transports materials to designated areas or locations Supplies production lines with needed materials. Understands Bill of Material (BOM) and/or part requirements in preparation for changeovers Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Ability to operate forklift efficiently and safely Ability to operate other material handling equipment Basic Computer Skills Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education High School diploma General Education Degree Experience Requirements Material Handling experience preferred Physical & Environmental Requirements Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material. Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
