Enterprise Infrastructure Services ( EIS ) at the University at Buffalo is searching for a Systems Administrator I to utilize cutting-edge technologies and their expertise in computing and information systems to develop, manage, and support sophisticated IT services including server and cloud services. They play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational excellence of UB, recognized as the top public research university in New York and ranked among the top 40 public universities nationwide. This is a campus-based position with the possibility of hybrid-work.

• Provide on-premises and cloud IT system support, including windows servers
• Participate in design and implementation of new on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure and systems
• Communicate professionally & effectively with teammates, management, peers, colleagues, and university constituents
• Maintain and improve technical and professional knowledge and skills
• Work as part of a team

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience in a computer/technical field OR master's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with windows system administration
• Experience supporting the following technologies:
  • Azure Cloud infrastructure design and management
  • Active Directory
  • MS Entra ID
  • PKI
  • Microsoft 365 platform and services including email
  • VMWare
  • HyperV
  • Compute hardware support including HPE servers
  • Listserv
  • VEEAM backup

$65,000 - $75,000
