A stable, large company is working with LHH to identify a temporary Accountant for the next six months. You will be joining a team and will be supporting accounting for the payroll team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience at the accountant level and have previous experience in large corporate companies. An individual will excel on this team if they are resourceful, analytical, and able to navigate through different software systems quickly. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities:

Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Reconcile payroll taxes, wages, PTO, bonuses, benefits, and other employee-related accounts. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and general ledger variances. Analyze payroll-related financial activity and assist with reporting. Partner with Payroll, HR, Accounting, and other departments to resolve accounting issues. Support payroll system improvements, testing, and process enhancements. Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits. Assist with internal controls, procedures, and special accounting projects. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Three or more years of accounting experience. Knowledge of GAAP, payroll accounting, payroll taxes, and compliance. Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas. Professional communication skills and ability to partner across different teams. Pay Details:
