Test Technician (Alternative Shifts)

Full-Time | $22.00–$32.00 per Hour | Performance Bonus Eligible

Are you an experienced electrical test professional who takes pride in quality, precision, and problem-solving? We're looking for a Test Technician to join our Quality team and play a critical role in ensuring our electrical products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

What You'll Do

As a Test Technician, you will:

• Perform electrical inspections including wire routing, torque verification, and continuity testing.
• Conduct electrical testing such as Hi-Pot, current injection, functional, and ground testing.
• Troubleshoot and assist in resolving test failures.
• Document inspection and test results accurately in both electronic and paper records.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Help develop and improve electrical testing procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in production training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support quality projects and help meet production and quality objectives.
• Make quality-related decisions, including stopping production when products or processes do not meet specifications.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical or electronic manufacturing experience .
• Strong understanding of electrical testing and inspection processes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong math skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or vocational certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Experience testing low-voltage (LV) or medium-voltage (MV) switchgear or similar electrical equipment.
• Experience using:
• • Hi-Pot testers
  • Current injection systems
  • Functional test equipment
  • Ground test equipment
• Knowledge of:
• • ISO 9001:2015
  • 5S +1 principles
  • AQL acceptance sampling

Additional Information

• Directly reports to the Electrical Test Manager.
• Minimal travel required (less than 5%).
• Candidates may be asked to complete a written and/or practical skills assessment during the hiring process.
