Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 1375 Washington Ave in Albany, NY. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if experience is lacking Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay & Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees or certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
