Medical Assistant – Urgent Care

Schedule

40 hours scheduled across Sun-Sat 8am-8pm, schedule varies.

Assignment Details

Holiday coverage required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA).
• 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 1 year in Urgent Care within the last 2 years.
• Ability to operate medical equipment including blood pressure cuffs and EKG machines.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurate documentation of patient information in charts.
• Assist providers by rooming patients and preparing for exams.
• Perform specimen collection and Point of Care Testing (POCT).
• Provide immunizations and injections as ordered.
• Monitor patient conditions and assist with procedures and treatments.
• Support clinic flow and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
