Job Description Feeder Packer Burrows Packaging, a Novolex Brand Mt. Vernon, OH Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $21.24/hour + $0.75/hour shift differential Available Shift Days: 7:00am - 7:00pm Nights: 7:00pm - 7:00am 2,2,3 schedule Overview A successful feeder packer will be responsible for preparing materials for processing, feed them into machinery, inspect finished products for quality, and package the products for shipments. This role is fast paced and requires attention to detail and efficiency. Responsibilities Inspect and pack product per customer specification using safe work practices Identify and communicate product quality deviations; assist with resolution Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork Read & understand Production Orders Assist the Operator with set-up and/or change over activities as directed Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures Actively engage in safety programs Assist other team members as needed Lifting up to 50 pounds as required Qualifications Stable work history; Preferably six months experience in a manufacturing environment or other physical labor job is strongly preferred Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker Record of dependability & reliability Willingness to work overtime as needed Company Benefits What You'll Get From Us Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
