Job Summary
United Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Telemetry for a 13-week contract assignment in Oxnard, California.
The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry nursing experience and the ability to provide safe, compassionate care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and physiological monitoring. If you are an experienced RN looking for your next contract opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition.
- Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the assignment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS Certificate requiered
- Previous travel or contract nursing experience is a plus.
