Patman Center Program Coordinator

Patman Center Program Coordinator Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS Hours: 40 hours per week Responsibilities Program & Event Coordination and Execution – Coordinate and execute high volume programming such as speaker series, symposiums, courses, and Maymester in D.C. activities. Manage event lifecycle from planning and promotion through on‑site execution. Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Experience – Serve as the first point of contact for students, speakers, and external partners; coordinate communications and support site visits and security walkthroughs. Event Logistics, Operations, and Financial Coordination – Manage travel, venue, catering, photography, parking; process payments, submit financial documentation, and coordinate honorariums. Cross‑Departmental Coordination & Communications – Collaborate with internal departments (communications, facilities, administration) to align event logistics, reservations, and promotions. Communications Strategy & Outreach – Develop multi‑channel communication plans, create content for social media, newsletters, and outreach campaigns; expand audience by engaging campus partners and external networks. Website Management & Digital Content – Maintain and update the Patman Center website, ensuring accurate, engaging content in line with the Center’s brand. Program Development & Student Engagement – Support development of new programs and initiatives, including student engagement opportunities and experiential learning models; coordinate networking events, scholar programming, and community‑building activities. All other duties as assigned – Provide guidance to student workers, contribute to operational improvements, and support the Center’s mission and growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering a program or events. Previous success in a customer service environment and demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse constituencies. Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, sound judgment, and composure. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Collaborative approach, strong organizational skills, and customer‑service orientation. Moderate understanding of social media platforms. Preferred Qualifications More than required experience, including higher education experience. Experience working in political settings or with elected officials. Experience with data management and University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems. Comfort using Canva, Mailchimp, or similar platforms for digital graphics. Knowledge of trends in effective social media marketing. Salary $53,000 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions Typical office environment. Repetitive use of a keyboard. Required Materials Resume/CV. Letter of interest.
