Project Manager - Facilities & Infrastructure Projects


Location: Brownwood, TX (Supporting Brownwood & Austin Facilities)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Travel: Occasional travel to Austin (weekly or bi-weekly, overnight travel as needed)


About the Role


Our client is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager / Facility Engineer to lead capital improvement and facility renewal projects across manufacturing and office environments. This position is responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.


The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems , combined with proven project management experience in industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or infrastructure environments.


This role requires an organized self-starter who can effectively manage multiple projects, work with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent facility and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
• Execute annual capital expenditure projects across manufacturing and facility operations.
• Lead facility renewal and modernization projects, including:
• HVAC replacements
• Electrical upgrades
• Roofing projects
• Building envelope improvements
• Piping and utility infrastructure projects
• Cooling towers, chillers, and other major facility systems
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and construction teams.
• Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance.
• Manage project risks, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure minimal disruption to business and manufacturing operations during project execution.
• Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranties, and final acceptance.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Experience managing facility, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
• HVAC systems
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Facility infrastructure
• Proven project management experience with capital projects and facility upgrades.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
