Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Job Title: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Location: Seminole, Florida Department: Finance Reports To: VP of Finance Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of FP&A with deep experience in the retail energy sector. This role will be responsible for leading all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of Excel-based modeling, worked in Pigment and NetSuite (or similar), and will bring a strong analytical mindset to support data‑driven decision making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead and enhance the annual budget and rolling forecast process, providing key insights and business analysis. Own the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Pigment platform for company‑wide planning and scenario analysis. Oversee monthly financial close analysis and reporting, partnering closely with accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial results. Develop and maintain dynamic financial models, dashboards, and KPIs to support strategic decision‑making. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team regarding growth, margin improvement, pricing, and cost control. Support ownership/analysts/investor relations with reporting, modeling, and financial storytelling. Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and technology to align financial strategies with business objectives. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the FP&A function. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in retail energy, utilities, or commodity‑based businesses. Proven expertise with Pigment (or similar) for planning, modeling, and analytics. Strong experience with NetSuite and financial data integrations. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with PowerBI, SQL, or similar tools a plus. Exceptional business acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills. Experience leading a team and mentoring junior finance professionals. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with a strong growth trajectory. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience in deregulated energy markets. Knowledge of customer acquisition economics and gross margin reporting by product/channel. Experience in private equity‑backed or high‑growth environments.
