Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification applicable to K–8th grades
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Familiarity with a range of disabilities and experience adapting curriculum to diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to students’ learning goals
• Plan, create, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal standards, involving stakeholders throughout the process
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and supports as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to facilitate student success
• Maintain organized and timely documentation of goals, progress, and communications
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment that celebrates diversity and supports all learners
