Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Locums - Charlotte, North Carolina, NP/PA Nocturnal CVT Surgery Opening

Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Ongoing Need

• Minimum expected duration of 3 months
• Strong potential for extension
• Coverage needed while facility recruits permanent staff

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• Night shifts only
• 12-hour shifts: 6:30pm-6:30am
• No call required

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based nocturnal CVT Surgery coverage
• No OR or surgical assisting responsibilities
• No CT surgery ICU coverage required

Patient Coverage Responsibilities:

• Vascular surgery ICU patients (co-managed with Critical Care team)
• Vascular surgery floor patients
• Cardiothoracic surgery floor patients only

Procedures Required:

• Chest tube removal
• Chest tube management
• No chest tube insertions required

Facility Details:

• 30-bed facility
• Hospital stroke certified
• Average patient volume: 10-20 patients per shift

EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified NP or PA - Required
• Active North Carolina license - Required
• DEA - Required (must be transferable/address update eligible)
• ACLS - Required
• BLS - Required
