Role Description The Fire Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC, responsible for operating and maintaining fire apparatus and related equipment during emergency and non-emergency situations. Day-to-day tasks include driving and positioning fire engines, managing pumps and fire suppression systems, and ensuring all equipment is checked, maintained, and ready for response. The role involves supporting fire suppression, rescue, and life safety operations, participating in training drills, and assisting in pre-incident planning. The Fire Engineer will complete incident reports, follow departmental safety protocols, and collaborate closely with other firefighters and command staff to deliver effective emergency services. This position requires adherence to established procedures and regulations while maintaining a strong focus on community safety and professional conduct.
