Assistant Controller

Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans operates several Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Greater New Orleans area. ADS is dedicated to improving the health of communities and continues a long-standing tradition of health ministry. The organization is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and review of financial statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

CPAstronglypreferred PublicAccountingExperiencestronglypreferred 5+yearsrelatedexperience AccountingDegree Stronganalyticalandproblemsolvingskills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compile andanalyzemonthlyfinancialsandclinicalstatsforpresentationtomanagementandthe boardinExcelandPowerPointformats. Prepareanalyticalanalysisandforecastsasneededattherequestofmanagement. ReviewJE'sandreconciliationsrelatedtoCash,Inventory,Prepaid,FixedAssets,A/P,Accruals,andmisc. PrepareJE'sandReconciliationsrelatedtoA/R,Allowances,Grants,andmisc. AccountforandtrackGrantfundsand RestrictedDonationsreceivedtoensurepromptreimbursementaswellasaccuratefinancialreporting. Reviewbi-weeklypayrollsubmissionforaccuracyaswellasassociatedJE's. Assist Auditorsinassemblingrequestedinformationforvariousaudits. Work with outside service provider to provide necessary data to complete the 990 submission Assistcontrollerinpreparationofbudget. Performaccountingandclericalfunctionstosupportsupervisor Otherdutiesasassigned Workconstructivelywithotherdepartmentstoresolveissuesandproblems Strongattentiontodetailandabilitytomulti-taskandprioritizeworkindependently Musthavetheabilitytoworkeffectivelyindependently,aswellas inateamenvironment Must have strong computer skills, including expert proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascension DePaul Services
