Compensation & Schedule Details

• Hours & Shift: 36 guaranteed hours per week (12-hour variable shifts; rotating schedule).
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Target Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Low Census & On-Call Policy: Eligible for up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours total per contract. Travelers can be placed on-call during low census (on-call hours count toward the low-census unbillable pool). Call-backs carry a 2-hour minimum pay.

Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules

• Radius Rule: Strict 50-mile radius restriction (contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius).
• Floating: Required to float to like units as well as other Aspirus locations (Howard Young, Tomahawk, Eagle River). Floating can and will be prescheduled if needed.
• Mandatory Health Policy: During flu season, any traveler who declines the flu and COVID-19 vaccination is strictly required to wear a mask at all times (no exceptions).
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience preferred (candidates with 1.5+ years may be considered, alongside acute care specialty background). Occasional pediatric surgical patients (ENT/ortho) may be encountered.
• Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) RN license or compact state license.
• Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS and AHA PALS required.
• Charting: Epic charting experience required.
