Law Clerk

A NYC law firm (ww.Mtuslaw.Com) is seeking a full-time bilingual (Chinese/English) Business Immigration Law Clerk. Candidates interested in immigration law are encouraged to apply. The position starts on-site for training and may transition to remote work after training. Job Duties:

• Under supervision of attorney, prepare immigration applications/petitions, draft government forms and correspondences, including supporting letters, response to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Audit Responses, Motions and other government requests.
• Conduct research on procedural and legal updates, as needed.
• Manage client relations, communicate regularly with clients regarding required documentation, case status and client inquiries, and monitor case status from initiation to approval.
• Perform administrative duties, data entry, scanning, receiving calls for the attorneys, coordinating/scheduling meetings and client consultations;
  managing case files andcase management databases, etc.
• Other tasks assigned by attorney

Requirements:

• LLM or JD degree. If you have years of experience working in business immigration field, a law degree is not required.
• Must be able to communicate with clients in both Mandarin and English.
• Must be detail-oriented and a fast learner and have multitasking skills.
