Test Technician I - 2nd Shift

Job Purpose

Test, troubleshoot and repair products per specified ATPs at established test stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Test/calibrate all products per specified test procedures, achieving required quality targets
• Record all pass/fail and defect data as required per specified procedures
• Operate ATE and bench fixtures per specified procedures
• Set up and use an extensive variety of digital and analog test equipment and fixtures
• Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments
• Complete paperwork as needed, including test histories, charts, and trend records for various process steps
• Obtain parts using proper procedures
• Recognize problems from test procedures and/or test results and make appropriate recommendations
• Assist in the preparation of test procedures as well as quality and productivity improvement activities
• Provide feedback for the disposition of discrepant material
• Formulate solutions involving failure trends
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems using schematics and other production material
• Perform assembly analysis using wiring diagrams
• Provide feedback on new processes introduced into production
• Effectively interface with all support groups to resolve production issues
• Provide assistance and training to test operators

Qualifications

• AA/AAS Degree in Electronics/Technician Certificate from an accredited technical source; must include digital electronics and microprocessor training
• 1-2 years electronics testing experience
• Understanding of logic diagrams and Boolean logic
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and provide feedback for improvement
• Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools, including pallet jacks
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Proficiency with oscilloscope, VOM, and other test equipment
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to solder and desolder
• Ability to apply conformal coating material
