Test TechnicianThe Test Technician performs routine and specialized electrical tests on transformers, power metering products, power distribution units, and other integrated systems to verify that all products meet defined specifications. This role troubleshoots and resolves manufacturing and design issues in a timely manner to support product quality and customer satisfaction, while contributing to continuous improvement in processes and practices.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and special electrical tests on transformers, power metering products, power distribution units, and other integrated systems to ensure products meet specifications.Assist in the assembly of products by reading and following electrical schematics, part drawings, and bills of material.Interpret standard documentation and apply it effectively to custom applications and configurations.Assemble mechanical components, including fitting, aligning, and securing parts according to assembly drawings and instructions.Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues in products and test setups, and resolve manufacturing or design problems in a timely manner.Recommend improvements to products, processes, and work practices based on test results and observations.Use test equipment such as power meters, high-voltage (hi-pot) testers, and other electrical test instruments safely and accurately.Work in a safe manner at all times, following established Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.Adhere to all ISO 9001 policies and procedures and maintain accurate documentation of tests and results as required.Use computers and software applications, including MS Office and databases, to record data, prepare reports, and support test activities.Follow written and verbal instructions clearly and consistently to complete tasks to specification.Perform other related duties as assigned to support production, testing, and quality objectives.Essential SkillsStrong applied knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.Minimum of 3 years of applicable work experience in electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical environments.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, part drawings, and bills of material.Hands-on experience performing electrical testing and troubleshooting on transformers, power metering products, power distribution units, or similar integrated systems.Proficiency in using test equipment such as power meters and high-voltage (hi-pot) testers.Ability to assemble mechanical parts accurately using assembly drawings and bills of material.Familiarity with hand tools, soldering irons, and portable power tools for assembly and test work.Competence with computers and applications such as MS Office and databases.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical diploma from a community college or equivalent.C.E.T. You may sit, stand, or kneel depending on daily tasks and have freedom to move around the work area as needed. Overtime may be required depending on order volume and production demands. The position involves regular use of computers for data entry, documentation, and communication, alongside frequent use of test equipment, hand tools, soldering irons, and portable power tools. Work is carried out under established Health and Safety procedures and ISO 9001 policies, with a strong focus on safe handling of electrical and high-voltage equipment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
