Property Coverage Attorney

Clyde & Co is seeking an insurance coverage attorney with experience handling property coverage matters to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses exceptional research and writing skills. Responsibilities Analyze insurance policies and claim material, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients; Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients; Analyze documents for litigation; Conduct legal research using Westlaw; Prepare and respond to written discovery; Draft pleadings and briefs; Conduct and defend depositions; Attend and advocate at hearings and mediations. Education And Experience Required Admitted to practice law; California bar admission strongly preferred. Insurance coverage experience. Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills. Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature. Ability to handle time sensitive matters. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly. Why Join Us? The salary range for this position is dependent on the level at which the candidate is hired: Associate: $160,000 – $190,000 Senior Associate: $185,000 – $225,000 Senior Counsel: $220,000 – $260,000 The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
