Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Status: Hourly

Shift: Night

Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Pay Transparency: This range represents the expected hourly wage for this role in New Jersey.

The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

• Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in New Jersey or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS Certification is mandatory.
• PALS/ACLS Certification is required.
• Prior experience in Acute Care is preferred.

• Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and unpleasant odors.
• Risk of exposure to infections and communicable diseases.
• Possible contact with hazardous materials.

A physical condition that allows for reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, and standing for the majority of the shift is essential. The ability to adapt to rapidly changing and stressful situations is also required.

• Patient Care: Create a healing environment by planning and delivering both traditional and personalized comfort measures.
• Advocate for patients and families by providing information and facilitating participation in goal setting.
• Teaching and Coaching: Assess patient readiness to learn, develop individualized teaching plans, and document outcomes.
• Effectively manage life-threatening emergencies by recognizing urgent situations, initiating appropriate actions, and documenting results.
• Diagnostic and Monitoring: Identify and document significant changes in patients' conditions, ensuring care is tailored to their specific needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine suitable interventions.
• Administering Therapeutic Interventions: Perform and adapt procedures as per hospital policies, ensuring safe medication administration and documentation.
• Participate in quality monitoring activities and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care.
• Contribute to a supportive work environment by assisting team members and adapting to the unit's evolving needs.

• Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility with colleagues.
• Adhere to established policies and maintain high standards of patient care.
• Participate in mandatory training and continuing education (30 hours bi-annually).
• Exhibit awareness of patient safety initiatives and comply with infection prevention protocols.

• Encourage open communication regarding safety concerns.
• Ensure clear and timely communication.
• Utilize self-check techniques (Stop, Think, Act, Review).
• Maintain a questioning attitude and seek resolutions.
• Engage positively with all team members.
