Treasurer of School Monies

Qualifications Have strong organizational and communication skills, budget management and detail oriented Knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices Must be available daily during the school year Must provide monthly updates Prepare annual financial statement to be submitted to the PPS Business Department Reconciles/balances checking account Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, high attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software/spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Excel) Required criminal history background check Proof of citizenship or legal resident alien status Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable Job Goal Handle all of the Board of Education's money, accounting for all receipts and expenditures.
