Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Special Education Teacher, making a difference for young learners ages 5 to 8. This full-time role (37-40 hours per week) spans the academic year from July 22, 2026, through May 28, 2027. With a manageable caseload of fewer than 12 students, you will provide meaningful instruction and support in a positive, collaborative environment.

In this position, you will:

• Deliver engaging daily classroom instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure compliance with all special education regulations
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and inform instruction
• Prepare and maintain IEP paperwork with careful attention to detail
• Oversee classroom assistants and help foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Participate in school-based meetings and other assigned duties to support student success

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Teacher Certification in Special Education required
• Prior experience working with elementary-age children in a special education setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable supervising and supporting classroom assistants
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
