Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experience a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract position offers the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of students ages 5 to 8 within a small, manageable caseload of fewer than 12 students. You'll play an integral role in shaping educational experiences that cater to diverse learning needs while ensuring a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Teacher Certification in Special Education (required)
• Experience working in school-based settings with early elementary students
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Ability to create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Proficiency in data collection and progress monitoring
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily classroom instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collect data and track student progress to inform instruction and reporting
• Complete all required IEP documentation and paperwork accurately and timely
• Supervise and support classroom assistants, fostering a collaborative team dynamic
• Adapt instructional strategies and interventions to promote student growth
• Effectively communicate with students, families, and other educational professionals

This assignment offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 37–40 hours per week, running from July 22, 2026 through May 28, 2027. Interviews are being held virtually this week for your convenience.
