We are a confectionary company focused on adaptogenic fungi and cannabis infusions in chocolate and gummy goods. This is a position that works independently in a growing kitchen. Manual skills needed.

Requirements:

• Must have Food Handlers license for New York
• Must have culinary training or equivalent experience (6 months)
• Must have understanding of food safety guidelines
• Must be attentive to details.
• Ability to carry out multi-step procedures with an increasing level of efficiency.
• Reliability, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Ability to stand for hours while working.
• Previous supervision experience, chocolate-specific experience is not necessary.
• Coordinate with Production Manager kitchen production
• Has a strong commitment to food and employee safety, ensures compliance for the
  production department and in the application of his/her daily routine

  Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of production operations
• Administrative
• Chocolate production & packaging: Supervise and perform the production process to
  ensure high-volume, high-quality chocolate.
• Requesting purchase of kitchen needs from Production Manager

• Quality Control: Responsible for achieving high quality control standards. Upholding quality control standards in conjunction with managers and kitchen supervisor(s);
• Ensures products meet customer specification
• Coordinates with Production Manager on production activities with all other company functions to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery, and equipment
• Supervise, and work within the kitchen operation.
  Production :
• Produce and maintain productions created in kitchen production site
• Follow procedures for shelf life and product dating
• Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g., in refrigerators, storage room, etc.)
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
• Supervise Food Safety and Team Member Safety, Committed to providing a safe food product
• Supervise the quality of the delivered food received, while overseeing inventory, supply, and QA processes in the kitchen
• Ensure that food safety and security standards are met and adhered to consistently by team members
• Supervise and uphold food quality and presentation no matter what the business channel is
• Helping maintain a fully stocked kitchen inventory, adhering to safety and sanitation

• Supervising and maintaining a tight and orderly kitchen operation, including storage, labeling, preparation, and all safety protocols
• Consults with Production Manager relative to modification of machines, equipment and other needs in order to improve production and quality of products
