Responsibilities
- Provide professional respiratory care to patients per physician orders, including assessment and documentation.
- Administer prescribed therapies (bronchodilators, aerosols, humidification, chest physiotherapy) and perform suctioning as needed.
- Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, including setup, adjustments, weaning, and close monitoring per protocol.
- Monitor patient status, interpret arterial blood gases when required, and respond to changes in clinical condition; escalate appropriately.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, safety protocols, and accurate charting.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and airway care; maintain infection control and equipment hygiene standards.
- Support required holiday coverage as specified for this assignment.

Requirements
- Active Georgia RRT license (NBRC) and NBRC credential (RRT)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy within the specialty
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and fulfill holiday coverage requirements
- Location restriction: No local candidates within 50 miles
