Responsibilities:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for orthopedic patients.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assisting with orthopedic procedures and surgeries.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after procedures.
- Educating patients and their families about orthopedic conditions, treatments, and post-operative care.
- Collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Documenting patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in orthopedic nursing (ONC) preferred.
- X years of experience in orthopedic nursing or related field.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient-centered care.
