Misc. Metal Fabricator – Metalcrafters NC

Full-Time
$18+/hour (based on experience) – Opportunity for growth

Metalcrafters NC is looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our expanding production team. This position plays a key role in building high-quality miscellaneous metal products including custom stair systems, railings, platforms, and specialty fabrication projects.

We’re looking for dependable individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, value accountability, and perform well in a fast-paced production environment.

• Fabricate and assemble metal products using shop drawings and production specifications
• Complete fabrication tasks daily to support production timelines and delivery schedules
• Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and material layouts accurately
• Safely operate and maintain fabrication equipment and shop tools
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with shop safety standards
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality control expectations
• Utilize the Metalcrafters app for job tracking, production accountability, and workflow updates
• Complete required paperwork, production logs, and reporting documentation
• Help achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, organization, and safety practices

• Valid Driver’s License required
• Prior welding and metal fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math accurately
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Self-driven, dependable, and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to problem solve and adapt in a production-focused setting
• Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing production demands
• Ability to maintain required certifications including First Aid, CPR, forklift, scissor lift, telehandler, combi lift, and related equipment certifications
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (with periodic updates as required)
