Per Diem Pharmacy Opportunity in Oakland, CA – Immediate Openings!

A healthcare clinic serving a diverse and vulnerable patient population is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage at their retail pharmacy location. This role supports an essential health clinic where compassionate patient care and attention to detail are paramount.

Location:

• Equity Health Clinic in Oakland, CA
• Accessible via BART; limited and paid parking options nearby, so public transportation is recommended

Schedule (per diem coverage needed):

• Friday, March 6 | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday, March 19 | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 8 | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including dispensing medications accurately
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure workflow efficiency
• Support patients with professionalism, patience, and cultural sensitivity
• Operate within the New Leaf pharmacy system to manage orders and records

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current, valid California pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a clinic environment serving a vulnerable population
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to commute reliably—ideally living in San Francisco or nearby for easy train access
