Accounting Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and lead accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, producing internal financial reports, and strengthening accounting controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and a proven track record of technical accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Develop and deliver internal financial reporting packages for leadership, including analysis of variances and key metrics
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
• Manage and review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Lead the preparation of supporting schedules for audits and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
• Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership to support business initiatives and decision-making
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA strongly preferred
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting cycles
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems
