Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (0900–1930) | Onsite | Weekends required once per 4-week period | Call required once per 4-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for a diverse patient population including pediatric (1 year and older), adult, and geriatric patients recovering from same-day surgeries and inpatient admissions
• Recover patients following procedures requiring general anesthetics and/or spinal anesthesia across a broad range of surgical specialties, including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, cardiovascular, thoracic, trauma, bariatric, and more
• Support cardiovascular lab procedures requiring anesthesia, including EP cases and other advanced interventional cases
• Perform pre-op assessments for ICU patients on an as-needed basis
• Float between bays across two floors (29 total bays) and, when required, between nearby sister facilities
• Practice in accordance with ASPAN standards and document using EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with cardiovascular lab procedures and advanced anesthesia cases
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system
