Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
The OR RN Circulator plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures within the outpatient surgery setting. This position requires skilled coordination of perioperative activities, ensuring patient safety and efficient operative flow.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready.
• Monitor and accommodate the needs of patients throughout surgical procedures, maintaining safety and comfort.
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals by providing sterile instruments and supplies promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient status, and supplies used.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control policies, and hospital protocols at all times.
• Rotate between float and main OR shifts, providing support across multiple surgical teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license with current certification.
• Possess minimum of 2 years recent operating room experience, specifically as a circulator.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including late coverage and holidays.
• Capable of handling diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environment.
