Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including 12-lead EKGs and dysrhythmia management.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, including emergency drugs, and manage IVs and PICC lines.
  
  
• 
  Provide respiratory support with BIPAP, CPAP, and Vapotherm, and assist with chest tube procedures.
  
  
• 
  Conduct frequent vital sign and neurovascular checks, and monitor post-procedure patients.
  
  
• 
  Ensure infection prevention protocols and proper PPE use.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess 2+ years of recent Step-Down or IMC experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
  
  
• 
  Be capable of managing multiple emergency and neurological conditions.
  
  
• 
  Valid nursing license and ability to work night shifts (4x12-hour shifts).
  
  
• 
  Local candidates strongly preferred to reduce travel requirements.
