Future Opening: Student Ministry Worship Leader - Contract SEVERNS VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH Student Ministry Contract Worship Leader Worship Arts · In Partnership with Boyce College Position Overview Severns Valley Baptist Church is inviting a Boyce College student to lead worship music for our Wednesday night student ministry gathering. You will rehearse and lead a band of student musicians each week, helping our students encounter Jesus through music and grow as young worship leaders themselves. At a Glance Position Type | Independent contractor, paid weekly Ministry Area | Student Ministry (Wednesday nights) Rehearsal | Required, weekly, with the student band Compensation | $200 per week you lead Reports To | Logan Fisher, Worship Pastor Location | Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701 What You'll Do Lead worship music for our Wednesday night student ministry gathering. Recruit, rehearse, and lead a band of student musicians each week, teaching them as you go. Choose a set list suited to a middle and high school audience, in coordination with the Worship Pastor and Student Ministry leadership. Coach and encourage students who are learning to lead worship themselves. Coordinate with the Student Ministry team on schedule, setup, and any special Wednesday night plans. Communicate promptly with the Worship Pastor about your availability and any changes to the plan. Who We're Looking For A current Boyce College or Southern Seminary student with musical ability on guitar, keys, vocals, or another lead instrument. Someone who genuinely enjoys students and wants to invest in the next generation of worship leaders, not just perform for them. A growing follower of Jesus with the patience to coach students who are still learning their instruments. Someone reliable, able to commit to a weekly rehearsal in addition to Wednesday night. Reliable transportation for the drive from Louisville. Compensation You will be paid $200 for each week you lead, which includes your weekly rehearsal with the student band.
